Robert
Cuozzi LMT*, RYT has been a certified yoga instructor
since 2002; a certified Relax & Renew Trainer since
2004; a certified practitioner of Lotus Palm Thai Yoga
Bodywork since 2005; and a Certified Massage Therapist since
May, 2011. (Massachusetts Licensure in process.)
His mission is to
listen closely to the messages each client's body is
communicating, and to respond with compassionate, healing
touch in order to alleviate discomfort and create immediate
and lasting joy.
A
longtime practitioner of Ayurveda, Vipassana meditation,
Hatha yoga and holistic living, Robert has spent the last
two decades studying, practicing, and teaching time-honored
modalities that celebrate the body, mind and spirit.
From 2005 through July 2010 Robert owned and directed the
leading Yoga Studio in Albany, NY, founding the Yoga Teacher
Empowerment Training, RYS, a unique program that utilized
the yoga teacher training format as a vehicle for profound
self-transformation. In 2007 his Thai Yoga Bodywork
was showcased in a feature article for the Albany Times
Union.
Robert
completed his study of traditional Western massage at The
Massage School in Easthampton, MA. A recipient
of an $8000 tuition scholarship, and
one of the
most-frequently requested therapists in the student clinic, Robert
consistently received high praise in client evaluations
during his 200 hours of clinical practice. As a longtime student of Eastern
philosophy and holistic mind-body healing,
Robert has also developed an "East meets West
Fusion Massage" technique that incorporates key
components of Thai Yoga, Shiatsu, Ayurvedic Massage and energy work
into more "traditional" table massage sessions.
Utilizing a highly developed sense of intuition as well as a
solid knowledge of Ayurveda, this constantly evolving method
reaches beyond
the crucial layer of the body, into the deeper, energetic
layers of the human energy field, thus giving each client
the opportunity to work with consciousness (energy) as well
as form (matter) to achieve lasting health, balance
and happiness.
Currently
a resident of Massachusetts's Pioneer Valley, Robert is an
avid Triathlete committed to friendliness, self-awareness,
and living in harmony with his community and with
nature.
